Fresh Strawberries and Cream Cheesecake

A refreshing, bright dessert that will put a smile to anyone who takes a bite. The juicy and tangy strawberries combined with the delicate sweetness of the cheesecake make this an irresistible dessert for the holidays.
Cooking Time


  • 1 raspberry or strawberry jam jelly roll, 15 cm long and cut into 2-cm slices (this can be bought ready-made)
  • 500 grams cream cheese, softened at room temperature
  • ½ cup of castor sugar
  • 2 tbsp. powdered gelatine, dissolved in 1/3 cup warm water
  • ½ cup yoghurt
  • 2 cups fresh strawberry puree
  • ½ cup heavy cream, lightly whipped
  • Whole strawberries to decorate
  • Powdered sugar for dusting


  1. Arrange jelly roll slices on the base and up the sides of a 20-cm springform pan.
  2. Beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Add gelatine, yoghurt and strawberry puree.
  3. Gently fold in whipped cream and pour the batter over the jelly roll slices. Chill until firm.
  4. Decorate with strawberries and dust with powdered sugar.
