Classic Sugar Cookies

Easy to make and mould into a variety of your favorite shapes. These are populat festive treats – crisp on the outside and soft in the middle.

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • 225 gm butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • 3 eggs


  1. Sift flour, baking powder, and baking soda together.
  2. Cream butter and sugar together using a blender or whisk.
  3. Add lemon zest and egg (one at a time).
  4. Mix the lemon zest and egg well.
  5. Combine dry ingredients with butter mixture.
  6. Mix them until dough comes together.
  7. Roll out dough to 1/2 cm in thickness.
  8. Cut out the cookie using a cookie cutter.
  9. Bake on a cookie tray at 170°c until golden about 10-12 minutes.
