Enjoy this popular Southeast Asian crab dish – which uses simple, fresh and aromatic ingredients to leave you with sticky fingers and a smile on your face.

Ingredients (A):
20pcs dried chilli, softened in water
6 pcs fresh chili
6 cloves garlic
100gm shallots
50gm fresh ginger
Ingredients (B):
3 tbsp. chilli sauce
2 tbsp. soy sauce
2 tbsp. sugar
2 tbsp. vinegar
salt to taste
3 – 4 cups (720ml – 960ml) water
Ingredients (C):
2 tbsp. cornflour
4 tbsp. water
1.2 -1.5kg crabs, cleaned and cut into pieces
1 egg, beaten
4 tbsp. planta margarine
Instruction:
Grind ingredients (A) to a paste.
Mix ingredients (B) in a bowl.
Mix ingredients (C) in a separate bowl.
Heat 4 tbsp. margarine in wok. Fry the paste (A) till fragrant. Add crabs and ingredients (B), stir-fry till it comes to a boil.
Cover the wok and cook for about 10 minutes.
Slowly add in ingredients (C) and stir well.
Add beaten egg and gently stir with the crabs. Serve at once.
